TechFest 30 Open for Registration

A new seminar program has been designed for TechFest 30, which will be held at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Minnesota, May 27-29.

Slot Tech magazine has announced that that TechFest 30 is now open for registration. The often sold-out event will be held at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, near Minneapolis, Minnesota. The dates are May 27-29, 2015. The usual Tuesday-Thursday format has been shifted by one day to Wednesday-Friday in order to allow for travel following the Memorial Day weekend that precedes the event. Travelers by air to the event are cautioned to book early as the day following a holiday can often require advance booking.

“I don’t think it’s possible to improve TechFest,” said Randy Fromm, publisher of Slot Tech magazine and host of TechFest. “It really is the most training you can possibly stuff into three full days. However, I wanted to change it up a bit for my returning friends so I have consolidated a couple of presentations into one and added at least two new ones.”

“One of the new presentations is from our new friends at Aruze,” continued Fromm. “Aruze is a really innovative manufacturer and I am looking forward to seeing what they bring to the table at TechFest 30.”

Another new presentation is from the soldering professionals at Hakko. Hakko gear is among the best in the electronics industry. Proper soldering techniques will be presented during the lecture portion of the presentation, followed by an extended, “hands-on” lab session that will stretch into the evening hours to allow everyone to have a chance to practice with the equipment.

Other hands-on sessions include a component testing lab (including a free digital multimeter) and an LCD repair lab presented by Ceronix. The program is rounded out with presentations from JCM, FutureLogic, 3M Touch Systems and Transact Technologies, makers of the Epic 950 printer.
