The Innovation Group Relaunches Tribal Internships

As the gaming industry builds back from the impacts of Covid-19, the Innovation Group (TIG) has announced it will once again offer its Native American Internship Program, which was suspended due to the pandemic.

The program is open to college and graduate level students and gaming enterprise staff from TIG’s network of tribal clients. Candidates must be recommended by their tribal leadership.

TIG President Michael Soll said, “Many of the changes the industry has undergone over the last 18 months will be enduring and present an opportunity for program participants to bring what we have learned together back to tribal governments and enterprises.”

In the internship program, tribal members seeking professional careers in gaming participate in expansion feasibility, economic development, marketing and database analysis and the introduction of sports betting. The paid interns will work alongside TIG’s expert project teams.

TIG will re-introduce the program during Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas; a virtual session will follow the event.
