Germany put its state-owned gaming group Westspiel for sale in December, and the bidders have been whittled down to three.
The three bidders will now make specific offers, according to the Ministry of Finance. The bidding process is managed by Warth & Klein Grant Thornton AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft. There is no minimum sale price but the government expects to be paid about €3.1 billion (3.65 U.S.) although the exact amount will be determined by how many casinos are opened.
The casino operator currently has 900 employees.
