Tiger Resorts Exec Charged with Perjury

Dindo Espeleta, chief executive advisor of Tiger Resort Leisure and Entertainment Inc., has been charged with making false statements about the purchase of millions of dollars’ worth of LED lights for Okada Manila.

A chief executive advisor of Tiger Resort Leisure and Entertainment Inc. has been charged with committing perjury in association with a 2017 fraud case at Okada Manila.

According to Asia Gaming Brief, Dindo Espeleta allegedly made the false statements in relation to the supply of $4.5 million of LED strip lights for the casino resort in Manila’s Entertainment City.

The original complaint was dismissed in May 18 by Parañaque City prosecutors for lack of probable cause. The new charges were filed by Tetsuya Yokota, president of Aruze Philippines Manufacturing, Inc.

In the 2017 case, Espeleta claimed that Yokota said his company would manufacture the LED strips in-house, though they were supplied by J&J Philippines Corp. Yokota contends that Espeleta “willfully and deliberately made assertions of falsehoods” as “the truth of the matter” while knowing that some components of the LED products would be sourced from corporations other than APMI.
