Timothy Bruce Named Grand Hyatt GM

Hospitality veteran Timothy Bruce has been named general manager of the Grand Hyatt Macau at City of Dreams Macau, a Melco Resorts & Entertainment property.

Timothy Bruce, who has racked up more than three decades in the hospitality industry, has been named general manager of the Grand Hyatt Macau hotel at City of Dreams Macau, a Melco Resorts & Entertainment property. He will assume the role immediately, the hotel announced.

Before joining Hyatt in 1999, Bruce worked in culinary positions in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Australia, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates and Japan. His first role with the hotel chain was as food and beverage director of the Hyatt Hotel Canberra in Australia.

He then relocated to India where he became general manager of the Hyatt Regency Kolkata and then general manager of the Hyatt Regency Delhi. Most recently, he opened the Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay Resort and Spa in China.

The Grand Hyatt Macau includes 791 guest rooms and 8,000 square meters (26,247 square feet) of event and meeting space, GGRAsia reported. The five-star hotel occupies two towers at the City of Dreams.
