Top Macau Regulator to Speak at G2E Asia

Paulo Martins Chan, director of Macau’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau, will speak at the G2E Asia trade show on May 18.

Paulo Martins Chan, director of Macau’s casino regulator, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau, will speak on May 18 at the 10th annual G2E Asia trade show at Venetian Macao on May 18.

Chan will speak on the topic “Transformation in Changing Conditions,” after an invitation-only networking luncheon for gaming regulators.

“I am very excited about this year’s conference, with a lot of content on business diversification, and we are glad to have Mr. Chan, who will be joining us to kick start the diversification session,” said Josephine Lee, executive vice president of Reed Exhibitions Greater China, in an email to GGRAsia.

The G2E Asia 2016 conference is devoting a day-long program to the topic “Opportunities for Integrated Resorts: Gaming and Retail Working Hand-In-Hand,” meant to “support the Macau government’s ambitions in strengthening the gaming industry as Macau transitions into a premier leisure tourism destination,” said Reed Exhibitions in a statement, according to GGRAsia.

G2E Asia 2016 will host 180 exhibitors, a 12 percent increase from the previous year, Reed Exhibitions said. A total of 40 percent are first-time exhibitors.

“As the biggest gaming and entertainment trade event in Asia and staying on top in the past 10 years, we are very thankful to the strong support from the Macau government throughout the years,” said Lee.
