Tribe Debuts Free-Play Online Poker

The Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma's www.PokerTribe.com website is now available for free play to U.S. residents (except in Oklahoma) and internationally, offering poker, bingo and pull-tab games. The next phase will offer real-money play and the third phase will offer the online casino on international flights and cruises.

On May 18 the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma launched www. PokerTribe.com, the first phase of its platform for a free-play online casino site. Poker, bingo and pull-tabs are available to residents of the U.S., excluding Oklahoma, and international markets. The second phase will introduce more games and real money play for international markets and the third phase will make the online casino available on international flights and cruises at www.InSkyCasino.com . The tribe is partnering with online gaming software developers Universal Entertainment Group in the endeavor.

The Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma became the first tribe to receive state and federal approval for certification of an award entered by an arbitrator in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. The award stated using the internet to offer certain “covered games” under the tribe’s Class III gaming compact is not in violation of previous and present state or federal law.

To celebrate the phase-one launch, the Honorable Chairman Bobby Walkup is offering $50,000 in play credits, which will be available after players create a use account for free play at www.PokerTribe.com. Those who are among the first to register will collect special credits and also receive exclusive alerts when the real-money site and inflight online casino become available.
