Trump Nominates Weaver to Head HIS

Robert M. Weather has been nominated by the president to be director of Indian Health Services. This agency is part of the Department of Health and Human Services.

President Trump has nominated Robert M. Weather to be director of Indian Health Services, which is a part of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS.) His nomination requires confirmation by the U.S. Senate.

Weaver is a member of the Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma and is his tribe’s Government Relations healthcare representative. Weaver has been in the medical industry for almost 20 years and has founded four healthcare consulting firms that serve tribal governments.

He was given the Regional Area Impact Award by the National Indian Health Board in 2012.
