Pay by Bank solutions provider Trustly has entered into a new partnership with casino loyalty and technology specialist Acres Manufacturing Company.
Under the deal, Trustly Scan & Pay will be integrated with Acres’ Universal Payment Adapter. This, the two companies said, will allow players to fund slots and tables through their bank account by scanning a QR code.
Trustly Scan & Pay does not require any sign-ups or downloads. Instead, players scan a QR code on the Acres Adapter to initiate a secure bank transfer that completes within seconds.
According to Trustly, the solution covers approximately 6% of revenue that is lost to cash handling costs. It added that the link-up with Acres could increase players’ coin-in by 38% compared to cash-based play.
Trustly and Acres Pledge Streamlined Experience
Noah Acres, who leads marketing and product design efforts for Acres, said the system is easier and faster than having to fund play with cash.
“The Universal Payment Adapter gives casinos a true plug-and-play cashless interface,” he said. “It doesn’t require additional technology integration and boasts widespread regulatory approvals throughout the United States.
“By linking it to Trustly Scan & Pay, casinos can offer their players a way to fund games electronically that’s quicker and easier than cash.”
Darren White, director of sales for gaming at Trustly, added: “This will streamline the contracting and underwriting processes for casinos. It significantly reduces deployment timelines while expanding distribution, making cashless gaming easier for casinos to adopt.
“Additionally, we’ve agreed to a sales and launch collaboration to further provide efficiencies and clarity to casino operators to accelerate the industry’s path towards modernized, cashless play.”
