The 9-story, 506-room hotel at the Fitz Casino & Hotel in Tunica, Mississippi will be renovated to become part of the Trademark Collection by Wyndham. Vice President/General Manager Tony Scudiero said, “We’re excited to have our hotel join the Trademark Collection by Wyndham family and are looking forward to providing our guests with the high-quality accommodations that the brand is known for, and welcoming members of the Wyndham Rewards Club to the Fitz family.”
The renovation will include new furniture, flat-screen TVs, an indoor pool and exercise facility. In addition, a buffet, Fuddruckers Grill, Bazaar, Dunkin’ Donuts, Baskin-Robbins and the Market General Store also are expected to open.
When the venue opened in 1994, it was known as Fitzgerald’s. It’s the fifth-largest in Tunica, including the hotel, 8,000-square-foot events center and 45,000-square-foot casino. Foundation Gaming & Entertainment LLC acquired Fitz Casino & Hotel Tunica in August 2018 from Majestic Mississippi Gaming LLC for an undisclosed price. The casino offers 850 slot machines, 11 table games and the Sportsbook at Fitz.
Founded in 2015, Mississippi-based Foundation Gaming & Entertainment also owns the WaterView Casino & Hotel in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
