Turning Stone Picks Konami

Konami Gaming has received a major order from New York’s Oneida Indian Nation for both its Synkros casino management system and 120 new Class III games.

New York’s Oneida Indian Nation, as part of the transformation of its Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York, from a cashless system into a standard Class III casino, has turned to Konami Gaming for both systems and slots.

Konami announced that the Oneidas have selected Synkros, its popular casino management system, to monitor the new operation and provide player tracking. In the same announcement, Konami reported that Turning Stone has ordered 120 new Konami Class III slots for the operation.

“Turning Stone is a world-class resort which has been growing for 20 years,” said Steve Sutherland, Konami’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. “Today, a comprehensive gaming enterprise management system like Synkros can help the management team synchronize all aspects of their expanding business.

“Turning Stone Resort Casino now offers four hotels, two spas, five golf courses, conference and meeting space, an event center, 19 restaurants, and more than 125,000 square feet of Vegas-style gaming. Konami and Turning Stone are an ideal fit because Synkros was designed to manage a resort casino operation this large, and a set of offerings this varied.”

“Turning Stone attracts 4.5 million visitors each year, and we are committed to offering the best products and the best service to our guests,” added Guy Renzi, vice president of gaming operations at Turning Stone. “The Synkros system from Konami provides us with tools that will help us to manage all aspects of our business in real time, so that we can continue to surprise and delight our guests with amazing experiences while contributing sustained revenues to the Oneida Nation and surrounding communities. We needed a system that could manage the gaming and non-gaming aspects of our business seamlessly.

“We were impressed with Synkros’ reliability, its single-code base, and the marketing horsepower that it offered to our management team. Konami’s games are known for their reliable performance, so we are excited to be updating our floor with 120 new video and stepper machines. We always strive to treat our guests with the very best, and we know they will enjoy playing games like China Shores, Dragon’s Law and Solstice Celebration on Konami’s Podium cabinet.”
