Twin Arrows Earns Three Green Globes

The Green Building Initiative recently awarded Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort in Flagstaff, Arizona its Three Green Gloves environment rating, for energy efficiency, sustainable practices and green architecture. Derrick Watchman, chief executive officer at Navajo Gaming, said building sustainability, land stewardship and effective energy use are important to Navajo Gaming leadership culturally and professionally.

Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort in Flagstaff, Arizona recently earned the Three Green Globes environment rating from the Green Building Initiative for its energy-efficient building, sustainable operational practices and architecture.

Chief Executive Officer of Navajo Gaming Derrick Watchman said, “Navajo Gaming pursued the Green Globes designation because we are a leader in this arena and we provide a distinctively Navajo experience for our guests and employees. Sustainability of our building, appropriate stewardship of our land and effective use of energy throughout Twin Arrows are important to Navajo Gaming leadership culturally and professionally, and we thank our dedicated team members who ensured we earned this designation.”

GBI’s Green Globes program provides green building guidance for commercial building owners and certification including online assessment and onsite evaluations. The rating of three Green Globes is earned when a company demonstrates leadership in applying best practices regarding energy, water and environmental efficiency. Four Green Globes is the highest rating.
