Twin River Casino to Expand

Twin River Casino proposes to expand its Lincoln, Rhode Island property with a 41,510 square foot gaming addition and 10,641 SF spa addition. The parking lot will be reconfigured to make room for the additions.

Twin River representatives spoke about the project recently before the Lincoln Planning Board, which would have to approve the additions.

The casino hopes to break ground this fall.

The smoking area will be moved to the new addition from its current location upstairs and be separated from the rest of the casino by a divider.

David Potter of Pare Engineering spoke to the commission about the need for the new addition. He noted that the Covid pandemic had created delays but that the company is eager to begin work. “It’s important to have this type of project to attract new patrons and spark excitement on the site,” he told commissioners.

Mark Russo, an attorney for Twin River Worldwide Holdings, told the panel that the company hopes to combine a public informational hearing with master plan approval later in September to accelerate the process.
