Steve Wynn, chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts Ltd., and Edward Tracy, president and CEO of Sands China Ltd., have been named among the best-performing CEOs in the world by the Harvard Business Review.??
The November issue of the Review ranks Wynn 17th among the 100 top executives. Wynn is also chairman and CEO of casino operator Wynn Macau Ltd.??
Tracy, who was first named president and chief operating officer of Sands China in July 2010, came in at No. 96. Sands China is the Macau subsidiary of the Las Vegas Sands Corp. Tracy became CEO in 2010 and has initiated a successful marketing strategy for the company’s Venetian Macao property.??
The Review says the rankings are based on real numbers, and assess which CEOs delivered the best results, according to GGR Asia.??
Jeff Bezos of the online retail giant Amazon.com is the “world’s best-performing CEO,” according to the report, followed by John Martin of Gilead Sciences Inc. and John Chambers of Cisco Systems Inc.
