Three industry veterans are forming a consultancy that will advise operators on the best ways to ramp up their operations once the industrywide Covid-19 shutdown ends.
Seth Schorr, Josh Swissman and Matthew Chilton have founded the Strategy Organization (TSO) to advise on marketing, operations and innovation for companies in the hospitality and gaming industry as casinos begin to re-open their doors post-shutdown.
Schorr is CEO of Fifth Street Gaming and chairman of the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. He served as an integral member of the Wynn Resorts team, developing the international marketing department in Macau, the interactive gaming division and the Wynn Collection of Fine Art.
Swissman was chief marketing officer and senior vice president for Station Casinos until February, when he started the Strategy Organization as a modern boutique consulting firm specializing in the gaming and hospitality industry.
Matthew Chilton is executive director of hotel operations at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, and has been general manager of Mandalay’s boutique hotel Delano Las Vegas for the past seven years.
The three veterans have a combined 75 years of deep-rooted experience in the hospitality and gaming industry. “With focus on guiding organizations to achieve maximum value and operational efficiency, they create innovative techniques to propel businesses forward, distinctly in the post-pandemic era,” said a press release from the organization.
In addition, former Mandalay Bay gaming executive Rick Fields will join the group as an alliance partner.
“We are extremely excited to launch the Strategy Organization,” said Schorr. “Together with our alliance partners, we create strategies that address, head-on, the challenges our industry is currently facing and deliver on the organization’s mission.”
The hospitality and gaming industry has been devastated by Covid-19 and TSO will link arms with businesses to create reopening strategies that reinvigorate the market. “The collective experience of the founders and partners is second to none in operating properties,” said the release, “starting with the 1989 Las Vegas mega-resort the Mirage and a multitude of projects in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Macau.
“The founding partners have proven methods to forge forward during the most challenging times, like 9/11, 2008’s Great Recession, and One October. They are instrumental partners that provide guidance in developing strategic re-opening plans to emerge from this pandemic and re-mobilize.”
Chilton added, “These last several weeks have been unlike any this industry has ever seen. We know businesses are eager to reopen and recover swiftly. Our reputable and trustworthy skill, expertise and industry experience can help you identify new revenue streams and operational efficiencies. We work closely with your team to provide data-driven strategies that get your business volumes back to where they need to be. We are ready to roll up our sleeves and help. We are in this together.”
As a comprehensive consulting firm, TSO provides a suite of business solutions from marketing to gaming, operations, innovation, human resources, analytics and finance, bringing holistic innovative techniques to drive competitive advantage.
“I am thrilled to launch the Strategy Organization,” said Swissman. “With our deep-rooted experience in hospitality and gaming, and longstanding history in Las Vegas, it couldn’t be a more important time to serve our industry, in Las Vegas and globally. We are prepared to support with reopening properties to revitalize our industry.”
