The UK National Lottery has launched a new advertising campaign “The Magic Number,” celebrating 25 years of operations.

Developed by London advertising agency Adam&eve on behalf of Camelot UK, the campaign highlights how the National Lottery supports UK charities, social directives, sports development programs, the arts, culture and heritage conservation.

The country’s first lottery was drawn November 19, 1994. Since then, the National Lottery has raised £40 billion (US$51 billion) supporting more than 530,000 UK projects and national charities through its Big Lottery Fund.

Featuring the tagline, “Your Numbers Make Amazing Happen,” the campaign also highlights the funding of nationwide disability and social mobility directives and the lottery’s contribution to UK Team GB Olympians and Paralympians.

“The National Lottery was set up to raise money for good causes and National Lottery players raise around £30 million every single week for this purpose, so we knew straight away that should be the focus of the 25th birthday campaign,” said Keith Moor, Camelot chief marketing officer. “The inspiring people and projects that feature in the ad really bring this to life—and show people that every time they buy a National Lottery ticket, amazing things happen.”
