UK Suspends PokerCent’s License

The United Kingdom Gambling Commission has suspended the gambling license held by Silverline Interactive Technologies Plc, the company that runs the independent poker room PokerCent. The suspension comes after the UK Gambling Commission reviewed the company’s operations.

Silverline Interactive Technologies, operators of PokerCent online poker room, has had its license suspended by the UK Gambling Commission.

The suspension came after the commission ordered a review of the operator’s activities.

“We are concerned the licensee is operating in a manner which is not consistent with the licensing objectives in regard to ensuring that gambling is conducted in a fair and open manner,” the commission said.

The review came after a player complained he was unable to withdraw money from his account at the site, according to published reports.

PokerCent, however, published a statement saying the suspension came from the commission asking for more information about the room’s software certificate, and PokerCent should be allowed to restart their operations in less than a month.
