The UK Gambling Commission has introduced new crime-fighting measures to advance the battle against money-laundering. According to iGaming Business, starting sometime this year casino operators will be required to demonstrate that they have strong AML policies and procedures to reduce the risk of corruption; report any criminal investigations that arise; and ensure that they have safeguards in place to prevent employees from taking advantage of suspicious or irregular betting activities.

Commission Regulatory Director Nick Tofiluk said companies must act now to fulfill their anti-money laundering obligations.
