A new website by the U.K. Gambling Commission has gone live to help gambling operators understand their responsibilities under new regulations as they relate to doing business with non-licensed third parties, European Gaming has reported.
The hub provides clear guidelines and expectations for gaming operators who conduct business with third parties. It was launched in response to enforcements the commission took against operators who failed to do sufficient vetting on third-parties.
It creates a one stop source for information, guidelines and best practices for casino and gaming companies engaging with third parties. The goal is to promote a safer and more accountable gaming environment, says the commission, including white labeled sites, where a website is built by a third-party for another web designer or company.
The commission says it is committed to a transparent and responsible gambling sector. The new website is seen as a further step in that direction.
