Valley Forge Casino Submits Sports Betting Application

Boyd Gaming’s Valley Forge Casino filed its application for a Pennsylvania sports betting license, becoming the sixth casino in the state to opt to offer a sports book.

Valley Forge Casino submitted its application November 14 to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board for a license to operate sports betting. Valley Forge, in King of Prussia, becomes the sixth casino in the state to shell out the $10 million license to create physical and online sports books, to be operated by FanDuel Sportsbook.

FanDuel’s parent company, PaddyPower Betfair, struck a deal with Valley Forge’s parent company, Boyd Gaming, in the summer. Under Pennsylvania’s law, the online book must prominently feature the Valley Forge name.

Two weeks ago, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course accepted the first legal sports wager in the state.
