Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City recently appointed Mark Vanderwielen as vice president of hotel operations, overseeing front desk, housekeeping, environmental services, facilities and the Rock Spa & Salon.
Most recently, Vanderwielen was general manager at three Viceroy Hotel Group hotels in San Francisco. Before that, he was vice president of hotel and property operations at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa Atlantic City for 13 years. Vanderwielen also held a variety of positions at Hilton and Kimpton Hotels and worked in London and New York.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City President George Goldhoff said, “I am very pleased to welcome Mark Vanderwielen to our team. His depth of experience, especially in this market, and his focus on the guest experience will be a wonderful asset to our resort operations.”
Vanderwielen holds dual citizenship in the U.S. and Belgium, and has residences in Galloway, New Jersey and London. He is a supporter of St. Baldrick’s Cancer Research Foundation in Monrovia, California and the South Jersey Field of Dreams in Absecon, New Jersey.
