Vegas Casino Seeks Vintage Memorabilia

The Sahara Las Vegas, formerly known as the SLS, is looking for classic memorabilia to add to the iconic resort, which has reclaimed its identity as one of the Strip’s flagship casino hotels.

Vegas Casino Seeks Vintage Memorabilia

The Sahara Las Vegas was formerly known as the SLS. And before that, it was known as the Sahara, an iconic Strip resort that hosted legendary entertainers like Elvis, Sinatra and even the Beatles.

As it reclaims its former identity and original name, the property has put out a call for vintage memorabilia that will help it complete the transformation. According to Fox 5 TV, donated items like ashtrays, casino chips, menus and other items are welcome. They will be part of a display to help provide a touch of nostalgia to the Sahara’s “new exquisite, modern design,” according to a news release.

Rare items from the 1950s through the 1970s are of particular interest.

The SLS Las Vegas announced in June that it was rebranding to Sahara Las Vegas. Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, November 20. Those looking to contribute can submit by sharing a photo on social media with the hashtag #OURSAHARA or by email at socialmedia@saharalasvegas.com.
