Las Vegas had the third-highest number of tourists in a month in its history in July, attracting 3.5 million people to the city. It was the best July visitation number on record, following a record number of visitors for June.
For the year to date, visitation is up 3.9 percent over the same period in 2013, reported the Las Vegas Review-Journal. More than 24 million people have visited the city so far. By year’s end, Sin City could surpass the 40 million-mark for the year for the first time in its history.
Average daily room rates for the first seven months was up 6.5 percent to $118.71 a night, the Review-Journal reported.
