On the heels of another bustling G2E week, the Venetian Resort has announced a sweeping, $188 million renovation project for its convention center, which will include new aesthetic features, meeting spaces and technological upgrades.
According to local outlet KLAS, the project is to be headed by the Woogmaster Studio design firm.
A main component of the project are elevated lounge areas that are designed to cater to executives and invite-only events, set off with various woods, marble and other high-end finishes.
“The finishes and amenities planned were thoughtfully curated based on feedback from our customers and will usher in a new era of Venetian Meetings and maintain our position at the forefront of the industry,” Venetian President and CEO Patrick Nichols said in a statement.
“Embarking on a refresh of a convention center that hosts back-to-back events year in and year out is no easy task, but our promise is to provide our guests a best-in-class experience,” Nichols continued.
The project is slated to begin next year, with phases of construction that will finish by the end of 2026.
Apollo Global Management, which owns the Venetian, announced plans last year to inject $1 billion worth of upgrades into the Strip property, one of more significant investments the Las Vegas market has seen in recent years.
