French gaming operator Groupe Vikings Casinos has renewed its license to operate the Bourbon Lancy Casino in central France. The municipal council in the Saône et Loire region has extended the license for a period of 20 years.
As part of the agreement, Vikings must invest €6.9 million (US$7.7 million) in the property over the term of the license, including €200,000 per year for new slot machines, according to G3 Newswire. The games room will be renovated in the first half of 2020, as will the restaurant will also be redone, as will some of the casino’s exterior facades.
The tax rate will remain the same at 15 percent.
The Bourbon Lancy Casino generated gross gaming revenues of €5.4 million(US$6 million) from 2017 to 2018, up 3.44 percent compared to the previous financial year, ranking it 127th out of 201 French casinos.
