Vegas Stats & Information Network (VSiN) has named Derek Van Nostran as the company’s first chief marketing officer.

VSiN CEO Brian Musburger said Van Nostran will lead strategic marketing efforts to grow audiences across platforms, increase advertising revenue, drive distribution to OTT platforms and enhance brand identity for the three-year-old sports betting information network.

Van Nostran joins Las Vegas-based VSiN from Sinclair Digital, where he oversaw streaming service marketing.

“His experience, and track record of driving growth at both start-ups and media giants will be invaluable as we work to maintain and exceed the extraordinary growth that we’ve achieved,” Musburger said.

Before joining Sinclair, Van Nostran was vice president of Digital, Brand & Design at Fiserv. Previously, he directed digital marketing for CNN. He has also held top marketing positions for streaming news service NewsON, live local multi-linear streaming service STIRR and The Weather Channel, where he oversaw brand strategy.

He holds a degree in business administration from the University of Vermont.
