This year’s Global Gaming Expo will feature a special focus on the strength and continued growth of the tribal gaming industry, with an array of tribal-related content highlighted by the keynote address by author and motivational speaker D.J. “Eagle Bear” Vanas.
“Tribal gaming is a true success story in communities across the country and an essential component of G2E’s educational program,” said Allie Barth, vice president of industry relations for the Washington, D.C.-based American Gaming Association, which produces the annual trade show and conference in partnership with Reed Exhibitions.
G2E 2019 will be held October 14-17 at Las Vegas Sands’ Sands Expo and Convention Center adjoining the company’s Venetian-Palazzo resort complex on the Las Vegas Strip.
Korbi Carrison, G2E’s event director, said this year’s organizers are “thrilled” to have Vanas participate.
A former military officer and member of the Ottawa Indian Nation, Vanas is the author of “The Tiny Warrior: A Path to Personal Discovery & Achievement” and “Spirit on the Run,” a popular series of books focusing on how organizations can apply the “power of the warrior spirit,” as he terms it, to perform at their best, stay resilient and thrive amid change.
“D.J. Vanas is a pioneer in the tribal community and is an asset to our tribal gaming educational program,” Carrison said.
G2E 2019 will feature a number of seminars focusing on tribal gaming, including:
- “Tribal Leadership Roundtable: The Next Five Years for Tribal Gaming”
- “Sports Betting in Indian Country: The Rules, Regulations & Best Practices for Tribal Gaming”
- “eSports, Mobile Gaming & Sports Wagering: What Role Does the Tribal Gaming Regulator Play” and
