Washington’s Cowlitz Tribal Gaming Authority, which operates the Ilani Casino Resort near La Center is suing to recover $13,600 it mistakenly paid to a former casino employee.
The tribe is suing the former table games supervisor, Stephanie Garza in Clark County Superior Court. She held the job for six months in 2017. Her salary was paid bimonthly by direct deposit. The payments were continued after her employment was terminated in June until mid-October, or nine payments.
The tribe contacted Garza but she ignored it. The tribe is suing for the money and damages, plus court costs.
