Washington’s Muckleshoot Tribe to Expand Casino

Washington’s Muckleshoot Tribe has announced an expansion of its casino to add amenities and more room for gaming. The project could be completed in early 2020.

The Muckleshoot Tribe of Washington last week announced an expansion of its existing casino that will add gaming space and more amenities, dining and a large events center. The project is expected to be completed early next year.

Tribal Chairman Virginia Cross said in a press release, “Our focus has always been on continual improvement of our casino operations and providing our customers a first-class experience.” She added, “This latest remodel-and-expansion project will keep our casino business strong, ensure that our customers get great value for their entertainment dollar and meet our responsibility to our community members.”

The Puget-sound based tribe’s first casino in 1995 was a large tent. It has funded several expansion project since then.

The project will include a 20,000-square-foot state-of-the-art event and conference center capable of seating 2,000 and of being configured in up to five sections. It will have a conference center with a glass wall looking out onto the Washington mountains.

A new facade will be added at the entrance. The casino expansion will add 10,000 square feet.

The expansion will include three new casual restaurant. A cultural center is also being added.
