Watchman named Top CEO in Arizona

Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise Chief Executive Officer Derrick Watchman recently was named one of Arizona's top CEOs by Arizona Business magazine at its annual Most Influential Leaders event. Watchman is the first Navajo top executive at the gaming enterprise, which owns and operates Twin Arrows Casino in Flagstaff.

Arizona Business magazine recently named Derrick Watchman, chief executive officer of the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise, as one of Arizona’s Top Chief Executive Officers at the publication’s annual Most Influential Leaders banquet.

Said Watchman, “I am honored to be recognized as a leader for my vision of creating the premier gaming entertainment destination in the state as we provide dynamic new business opportunities for the Navajo people and Northern Arizona. We hope the quality of work we have done at the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise and Twin Arrows to provide jobs and economic stimulus for Arizona can serve as a catalyst for additional organizations’ success.”

The first Navajo chief executive officer for the gaming enterprise, Watchman previously worked for JP Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo. Currently Twin Arrows Casino in Flagstaff employs 700 people and has boosted economic development in northern Arizona. Recently Twin Arrows casino received prestigious AAA Four Diamond honors.
