Widus Philippines Inc., which owns and operates the Widus Hotel and Casino in the Clark Freeport Zone, has secured a PHP7 billion (US$133.9 million) loan to finance an expansion of the property that includes a fourth hotel with 380 rooms as well as restaurants, retail shops and a casino with 200 gaming tables and 1,000 slots and ETGs.
“Our loan agreement only reflects the company’s strong commitment to bring only the best world-class facilities here to Clark,” said Mitchell Estacio, Widus Philippines’ corporate secretary and treasurer.
The casino will include VIP areas, private gaming rooms and junket rooms, according to GGRAsia. After the tower is complete, Widus may spend an additional US$500 million to further expand the complex, including adding convention facilities.
