William Hill is expected to announce that James Henderson, its operations director, will take over as chief executive of the bookmaker from Ralph Topping.
Henderson, 52, has emerged as the likely choice after the company’s search for a new CEO. He is expected to take the reins later this year.
Henderson has been with William Hill for almost three decades, starting as trainee in a west London betting shop.
