William Hill Leaves Russian Online Market

William Hill Casino Club, an online casino from bookmaker William Hill, has stopped accepting bets from Russian players and announced it is leaving the Russian market.

According to Russian media reports, UK Bookmaker William Hill has quit its online casino venture in Russia.

“The environment for carrying out gambling activities in Russia has become more complex, despite the fact that the company has official licenses. Hence, we have decided to leave the Russian market,” Newsofgambling.com quoted William Hill representatives as saying.

Other reports say the company suspended its William Hill Casino Club in Russia on September 23.

Russia’s media watchdog Roskomnadzor has been cracking down on illegal gambling websites and has blocked more than 1,500 gambling websites, including mirror sites of William Hill.
