Wolstenholme Steps Down From Grand Sierra Resort

Grand Sierra Resort COO Steve Wolstenholme announced his resignation, effective in mid-August, and will leave for an executive position in the Asia gaming market. Wolstenholme has over 30 years in the gaming industry.

Steve Wolstenholme is stepping down from Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, where he was chief operating officer. Wolstenholme held the role for two years and the move will be effective in mid-August as he has accepted a “senior executive position” in the Asia gaming market.

“In two years, Steve Wolstenholme has had a tremendous impact. We are grateful for Steve’s commitment and dedication and while his presence and leadership will be deeply missed, we are extremely optimistic about the future of GSR, this community and Northern Nevada in general,” a statement said.

Wolstenholme has over 30 years in the gaming industry. Starting as a dealer, he climbed through the ranks into corporate duties at the Atlantis Casino in the Bahamas and has held a variety of positions in the industry. He was also chief operating officer at Galaxy Macau and worked with the Prestantia Management Group Limited.
