Sands China has reappointed Wilfred Wong as the company’s president in a series of executive moves that saw Grant Chum named chief operating officer and Dylan James Williams assuming the post of general counsel and retaining the position of secretary.
Wong, 67, a Hong Kong businessman, has served as president of Las Vegas Sands’ Macau casino subsidiary since 2015. He also was COO. He will continue to exercise overall leadership of the company while focusing on its strategic objectives in Macau and the greater Pearl River Delta region, Hong Kong-listed Sands China said.
Prior to joining the company, he was involved in the property development and construction sectors in Hong Kong, where he holds a number of high-profile positions in the city’s film industry and serves as chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Public Administration.
Chum, 44, worked in Hong Kong’s financial sector for more than a decade before joining Sands China in 2013 as senior vice president of global gaming strategy and later chief of staff.
Williams, 44, a veteran of the telecoms, media and technology sectors in the South China, joined the company in 2006 as debt compliance manager and has served in several positions, most recently as senior vice president of legal. He has been company secretary since 2017.
