World Poker Tour Online Comes to Borgata

The World Poker Tour Online Borgata Poker Open, running from September 19 to 21 will lead partypoker U.S. Network Online Series in New Jersey, set between September 12 and 21. The $3,500 buy-in event features a $1 million guaranteed prize pool, with the final table live-streamed.

The Borgata Poker Open is the latest in the ongoing relationship between WPT and BetMGM.

“The WPT Online Borgata Poker Open marks the return of the Sexton Cup to New Jersey,” said Adam Pliska, CEO, World Poker Tour. “We are very happy that WPT’s move in online tournaments has been bolstered by one of the longest and most prestigious casinos on the tour.”

The winner of this first online U.S. WPT Main Tour event of Season XIX will have their name placed on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup, which highlights the name of every champion from the past 18 seasons. All event participants are eligible for points in the season long WPT Player of the Year race.

Players must physically be in New Jersey to participate in any of the tournaments.
