World’s Largest Casino Cruise Ship in the Works

Construction is set to begin in East Asia in April on a cruise ship that is being billed as the world’s largest. Backed by a Malaysian company and pegged at US$560 million, the 3,200-passenger Cruisino will have 1,330 state rooms and a two-deck gambling hall.

Construction of the world’s largest casino cruise ship is scheduled to commence in East Asia on April 3.

The ship will measure 968 feet long by 118 feet wide, carrying up to 3,200 passengers and 900 crew members. Each of the 1,330 staterooms will feature two plasma television sets: one will offer regular movies and entertainment, and the other will allow occupants to participate in live casino games from the comfort of their rooms. The seagoing casino will offer two gaming decks with slots, table games, live games and sports betting. Leonard added, “A host of other facilities will also be available on Cruisino and includes a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, restaurants, cafés, bars, shopping outlets, a theatre, a library, a spa, sauna and a fitness center.”

Construction will take place in shipyards in China or Vietnam and is expected to take three years to complete at an estimated cost of US$560 million.

Cruisino’s maiden voyage is scheduled for April 2020, according to Podiumspot Capital Group, the Malaysia-incorporated company behind the project.
