Suites set aside for high rollers
The most expensive apartment in Crown Resorts’ planned resort complex at Sydney Harbor would carry a price tag of almost $100 million?a record-breaker for the market.
Thirty of the 69 floors in Crown CEO James Packer’s $2 billion Barangaroo hotel-casino complex have been set aside for apartments. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the two-story penthouse could be the first in Australia to come at such a premium.
“To achieve a super-prime result, the offering must be unique, above 800 square meters, preferably at the top of the building, (with) irreplaceable views, a high level of privacy and security and surrounded by leading amenities,” said Justin Brown, the chairman of CB Richard Ellis’ residential real estate division.
The upper levels will also include a single “Sky Villa,” followed by a whole-floor “Super Villa” for high rollers who patronize the VIPs-only casino, reported the Herald. A recently modified blueprint enlarges the Crown resort hotel from 33,000 square meters to 77,500 square meters.
