WSOP Nevada Passes New Jersey Sites for Online Poker Lead

Player numbers for WSOP.com in Nevada show the site averages more players than PartyPoker and Borgatapoker.com in New Jersey. The site currently averages 144 cash game players at any time.

With the World Series of Poker underway in Las Vegas, WSOP.com Nevada has gained players and now has the most players on average of any U.S. online poker site.

The site has passed the combination of PartyPoker and Borgatapoker.com in New Jersey with a new seven-day average of 144 cash game players. The New Jersey sites average 141 players.

The rise in traffic began in mid-May just before the World Series of Poker kicked off in Las Vegas. The event has brought many poker players to the state, who can then play on Wsop.com. Players must be physically located in Nevada to play.

Since the WSOP began, traffic has continued to climb. The WSOP is even providing a “grind room” for poker players to play online.

WSOP.com and its New Jersey component have also offered an Online Championship Series in both states, which has also bolstered both site’s player numbers.
