WSOP Offers Online Championship

The World Series of Poker will offer 11 new events this year including an online championship that will award a traditional WSOP bracelet to the winner. Players have to be in Nevada to play.

The World Series of Poker will offer an online event this year, but players will still have to be in Nevada to play.

The event, the 64th on the 2015 WSOP schedule, is playable on a home computer, laptop or mobile device, and is open to any player in Nevada with a valid WSOP.com account.

Starting at noon on July 2, 2015, the $1,000 buy-in online tournament will eventually be stopped when it is down to the final six players, according to a press release form WSOP.com Action will resume at noon on July 4 when the live-streamed, six-handed final table will play to its conclusion on the feature table inside the Amazon Room at the Rio in Las Vegas.

The annual WSOP, which is now in its 46th year, runs from May 27-July 14.
