Wynn Las Vegas is opening a new nightclub that will differ from the spate of DJ-driven nightclubs already on the Las Vegas Strip, casino officials announced.
The new nightclub, Intrigue, will feature a format that is different from Las Vegas nightclubs featuring electronic dance music spun by popular DJs, which the former Tryst nightclub introduced to the Strip when it opened 10 years ago.
“The current market is dominated by the DJ phenomenon,” said Wynn Las Vegas Vice President of Operations Sean Christie.
But the electronic dance music scene is changing, and many potential clubgoers want to hear something else while partying.
“While the current nightlife options at Wynn continue to enjoy the success of EDM, there is an audience who wants an alternative nightlife experience,” Christie said. “Wynn was the first in Las Vegas to embrace the DJ phenomenon at Encore Beach Club, XS and Surrender and will again usher in a unique concept with Intrigue, while providing the highest level of luxury and service that customers expect from the resort.”
The Intrigue replaces the Tryst nightclub, which became one of the most popular in Las Vegas during its decade in operation. The Tryst closed its doors after its final opening night on November 7.
Wynn Las Vegas plans an April 28, 2016, formal opening of Intrigue on Wynn Las Vegas’ 11th anniversary.
Intrigue will feature state-of-the-art lighting and sound designed by John Lyons Systems throughout the 14,000-square-foot venue, which will accommodate up to 1,200 patrons.
A glass-enclosed patio will allow year-round views to the venue’s dramatic waterfall and pyrotechnics shows, and a 1,200-square-foot private club within the club will be a social media-free zone to ensure privacy.
