Wynn Las Vegas Adds Alex Cordova as EVP

Veteran casino executive Alex Cordova was added to Wynn Las Vegas last week and put in charge of running its nightclubs.

Eighteen year veteran casino executive Alex Cordova has been appointed executive vice president and managing partner for nightlife at the Wynn Las Vegas.

Cordova was previously Hakkasan Group’s executive vice president for marketing. Prior to that he was in charge of marketing for Angel Management Group, which was acquired by Hakkasan in 2014.

He will be in charge of the Wynn venues Surrender, XS, and Encore Beach Club, and a new nightclub, Intrigue, due to open near the end of the month.

Wynn Las Vegas COO Sean Christie praised Cordova: “Alex is a smart and savvy nightlife executive with a true passion for the business,” adding, “He is a natural leader and will be a big asset in directing the continued success of our current nightlife offerings and overseeing Intrigue’s opening.”

Cordova said, “I look forward to building on the successes of Wynn’s nightlife and daylife venues. I especially look forward to the opening of Intrigue, which is sure to pave the way for the next generation of nightlife on the Strip.”
