Wynn, MGM, LVS Make Fortune’s ‘Most Admired’ List

Three Las Vegas-based gaming giants joined more than 600 companies worldwide honored for excellence in their respective industries. Among hotels, casinos and resorts, Wynn was voted No. 1 for quality of products and services. LVS ranked high for global competitiveness, MGM for social responsibility.

Wynn Resorts, MGM Resorts International and Las Vegas Sands have made Fortune magazine’s 2019 list of the world’s “Most Admired Companies”.

The three were honored as members of the “Hotels, Casinos and Resorts” category, which also included Marriott International (ranked 23rd overall), Hilton Hotels Worldwide and Hyatt Hotels.

The 2019 list admitted 680 companies in 30 countries based on annual revenues. These were then ranked on the basis of nine criteria according to voting by executives, directors and analysts in their respective industries, assisted by global management consultants Korn Ferry. This year, 52 industries were represented.

Wynn was voted No. 1 among “Hotels, Casinos and Resorts” for “Quality of Products/Services,” beating out Marriott, which finished first in every other criteria.

LVS finished at No. 3 for “Global Competitiveness”. MGM made No. 3 for “Social Responsibility.”
