Wynn Resorts has announced that its two Las Vegas resorts have earned Forbes’ sought-after five-star rating.
Last week, the company announced that the two resorts are now the largest and second-largest five star resorts. Wynn Las Vegas has 2,716 rooms, and Encore has 2,034 rooms, putting both above the previous-largest five-star resort, the Wynn Palace, which has 1,706 rooms.
“I believe this unprecedented recognition by Forbes Travel Guide is about more than our service and commitment to operating the highest quality hotels and restaurants,” said Matt Maddox, CEO of Wynn Resorts. “This is a testament to the culture of excellence that resides in each of our resorts, whether it be in the United States or China. Our global team of 31,000 employees commits every day to creating experiences worthy of Forbes Travel Guide Five Stars.”
The new announcement means that Wynn now has seven five-star resorts.
MGM Resorts International has also been recognized with 10 awards from the Forbes Travel Guide and three coveted American Automobile Association (AAA) Five Diamond Awards.
“These accolades reflect our team’s commitment to delivering exceptional experiences throughout our portfolio of hotels, restaurants and spas,” said Bill Hornbuckle, MGM president and COO. “Our team members strive to exceed expectations with every opportunity they have. I am incredibly proud of their dedication and commitment and am thrilled to see it acknowledged with these prestigious distinctions.”
Five-Star ratings went to the Aria Sky Suites for the eighth year in a row, Skylofts at MGM Grand for 11 consecutive years and MGM Macau for the sixth time.
The Spa at Aria won five stars for the second year in a row along with the Spa at Vdara, which has earned a five-star rating for its fourth consecutive year. Tria Spa at MGM Cotai and Tria Spa at MGM Macau both joined the roster of Forbes Five-Star spas for the first time.
Forbes five-star restaurants are Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand and Le Cirque and Picasso, both at Bellagio. Joël Robuchon Restaurant has achieved a Five-Star rating for 11 consecutive years, with Le Cirque and Picasso being recognized for four and seven years, respectively.
AAA awarded esteemed Five Diamond Awards to the Bellagio for the 19th consecutive year, Aria for the 10th consecutive year, and Aria Sky Suites for the ninth consecutive year.
