Wynn President Spiegel to Retire

Marilyn Spiegel, president of Wynn Las Vegas, LLC, will retire at the end of the year, the company confirmed to media last week. Spiegel, who also is owner and operator of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Las Vegas—where she oversees the day-to-day operations—will be replaced by Brian Gullbrants, currently president of the operator’s Encore Boston Harbor property in Everett, Massachusetts.

It is the second time Spiegel has left the company. Hired by former Wynn CEO Steve Wynn in 2010, she left for three year in 2013. She rejoined Wynn for another three-year commitment in January 2019 at the request of CEO Matt Maddox.

Gullbrants joined Wynn Las Vegas in 2008 and will return to Las Vegas in August to ensure a seamless transition through the end of the year.

Jenny Holaday will become president of Encore Boston Harbor upon Gullbrants’ departure. Holaday currently is the resort’s executive vice president of operations.

Prior to joining Wynn in 2010, Spiegel had an extensive gaming career going back to 1999.

Spiegel is a current member of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s board of directors, serving on its marketing committee and chairing its compensation committee.
