Wynn Resorts is preparing to break ground on its integrated resort in the United Arab Emirates at Al Marjan Island. Newsdesk reported that Wynn CFO Julie Cameron Doe made the announcement at the recent JP Morgan, Gaming, Lodging, Restaurant & Leisure Management Access Forum.

The IR will have about 1,000 luxury hotel rooms, around 10 restaurants and convention space. It is planned to open in 2027.

The site is on an island of reclaimed land about 45 minutes from the Dubai International Airport. It has 4.85 miles of beaches and 14.2915 miles of waterfront. The project will occupy 250,000 square meters.

Wynn has partnered with Marjan, a local property developer and RAK Hospitality, to do the project. ALEC Engineering and Contracting LLC (ALEC), a subsidiary of the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD), is the construction contractor.

Marjan CEO, Eng. Abdulla Abdooli commented, “To fulfill and surpass the expectations of investors and all our stakeholders, we have teamed up with the best-in-class partners for the timely completion of a project that is the largest of its kind in the Emirate’s growing hospitality sector.”
