Wynn Resorts is deploying the Amazon Echo voice-response service system in the guest rooms of its Las Vegas properties. Guests will be able to make voice requests to “Alexa” for everything from the current weather to show tickets to advice on the best restaurants, shows and attractions in town.
The system will deploy seven microphones in each room, using “beam-forming technology” for Alexa to hear commands from across the room. Other features of the Amazon Echo system will allow Alexa to turn off the lights, connect your phone to Bluetooth to play your downloaded music and other functions.
“We are working closely with the Wynn to continue to enable new experiences for their guests, Amazon spokeswoman Kinley Pearsall told the Las Vegas Weekly blog.
