Yahoo Licensed for DFS in UK

Yahoo has received a UK license to offer daily fantasy sports in the UK and launched a DFS site. The company joins DraftKings and FanDuel in offering DFS in the UK. Yahoo offers soccer contests to UK users and offers liquidity in contests with U.S. and Canadian players.

Yahoo has quietly launched a daily fantasy sports site in Britain after receiving a UK gaming license.

The launch coincided with the shutdown of daily fantasy soccer site Mondogoal, which was once partnered with Yahoo. The launch received little advertising and was announced by the company on Twitter.

The Yahoo sites offers DFS soccer contests and shares player liquidity with the company’s U.S. and Canadian sites.

Yahoo, which was licensed through a Dublin-based subsidiary, joins DraftKings and FanDuel in offering DFS sites in Britain. Those two companies recently announced a merger.
