Yarmouth Plans ₤35M Casino

The coastal English town of Great Yarmouth in Norfolk has presented a casino development plan for review by the public. The ₤35 million (US$48 million) project was first proposed 10 years ago.

The plan for casino first proposed for the English town of Great Yarmouth a decade ago has been revised and now is available for review by the public. The project, known as the Edge, includes a 180-room hotel, a 10-screen cinema multiplex, a 22-lane bowling alley and a variety of restaurant and bars as well as an Aspers casino, reported the Great Yarmouth Mercury.

Albert Jones, director of the Pleasure Beach entertainment park where the complex would be located, issued a statement thanking supporters of the development. “We will shortly be submitting a planning application for the revised scheme and would like to share our latest plans with our neighbors and Great Yarmouth residents in advance,” he said. “This event will give you an opportunity to view the plans, ask questions and submit comments.”
