Zuma Restaurant Coming to the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

The Azumi Group intends to open a Zuma luxury Japanese dining restaurant inside the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas sometime in 2016. The 9,000-square-foot restaurant will feature a sushi bar, robata grill, and a main kitchen and feature many Japanese delicacies. The restaurant will open in the resort’s former third-floor art studio, which has been vacant for more than four years.

Fans of luxury Japanese cuisine can enjoy their favorite delicacies after the Azumi Group completes its planned opening of a Zuma restaurant at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Azumi intends to open a 9,000-square-foot restaurant on the third floor of the Cosmopolitan in late 2016, and Cosmopolitan CEO Gill McBeath told Bloomberg News he was “infatuated” with Zuma ever since visiting its London restaurant in 2007.

The Las Vegas location will feature a sushi bar, robata grill, and a main kitchen serving the finest in Japanese cuisine, including tuna tataki and lobster tempura.

Designer Noriyoshi Muramatsu, who designed Studio Glitt, is in charge of designing the Zuma restaurant’s interior.

The restaurant will occupy a space that once housed an art studio but has been empty for more than four years.

Cosmopolitan officials expect construction to start within six months with a formal opening likely in 2016.
